ECO Epichlorohydrin Rubber
C2000 Good Oil and Abrasion Resistance ECO Epichlorohydrin Rubber for Manufacturing
DESCRIPTION
Epichlorohydrin rubber, also known as ECH or ECO, is a synthetic elastomer made from epichlorohydrin and ethylene oxide or propylene oxide. It is a versatile rubber that offers excellent resistance to heat, ozone, chemicals, and oils, making it suitable for a wide range of applications, including automotive hoses, gaskets, seals, and diaphragms. ECH rubber is often used in environments where exposure to harsh chemicals and high temperatures is common, such as in the automotive, aerospace, and industrial sectors.
FEATURES
1. Excellent Chemical Resistance: ECO rubber has a strong resistance to various chemicals, including fuels, oils, acids, and alkalis. This makes it ideal for use in environments where exposure to harsh chemicals is common.
2. Good Heat Resistance: ECO rubber can withstand high temperatures and maintain its properties, making it suitable for applications where heat exposure is a concern. It typically has a working temperature range of approximately -40°C to 120°C (-40°F to 248°F), though some grades can withstand even higher temperatures.
3. Resistance to Ozone and Weathering: ECO rubber exhibits excellent resistance to ozone, UV radiation, and other weathering factors. This property makes it suitable for outdoor applications where it may be exposed to environmental elements for extended periods.
4. Low Gas Permeability: ECO rubber exhibits low permeability to gases, making it an excellent choice for applications where a barrier against gas leakage is essential, such as in fuel systems or gas storage devices.
5. Abrasion Resistance: ECO rubber exhibits good resistance to abrasion and wear, which contributes to its durability in various applications.

APPLICATION
Epichlorohydrin rubber (ECH / ECO) is a high-quality, versatile polymer extensively utilized in automotive applications, serving as an intermediary between nitrile and other significantly more costly polymers.
It is generally widely used for rubber applications that require oil (gasoline) resistance. For example, used for sealing automotive components such as fillers, oil seals, O-rings, gaskets, hydraulic hoses, fuel hoses, LPG hoses, diaphragms, and industrial supplies.
In addition, it can also be used for oil resistant belts, heat resistant belts, rubber lining, textile rollers, printing rollers, adhesives, rubber insulated wires, fiber treatment, and as a plastic modifier.
