DESCRIPTION
Acrylic rubber, also known as ACM (alkyl acrylate copolymer) or Hy Temp, is a specialized rubber renowned for its exceptional heat, aging, oil, ozone, and ultraviolet radiation resistance. Given such remarkable properties, it is extensively utilized in various applications, such as automotive transmissions, hoses, gaskets, adhesives, beltings, and O-rings.

WHY CHOOSE ACM
In many cases, the superior hot oil resistance of an ACM seal, as compared to an NBR material, justifies its slightly higher cost. Furthermore, when additives, like sulfur, are present in lubricating oils, ACM can be a more cost-effective solution than its pricier M-Group counterparts, such as FKM. Additionally, for certain hot air applications, ACM may be preferred over silicone-based materials. In situations where the application is susceptible to ozone and atmospheric exposure, the superior resistance to aging provided by ACM can lead to significant lifetime benefits.
