Active Chlorine Grade ACM Rubber
Carboxylic Grade 515HE 220% Elogation Acrylic Rubber ACM for Gearbox Lubrication Systems
DESCRIPTION
Acrylic rubber, also known as ACM (alkyl acrylate copolymer) or Hy Temp, is a specialized rubber renowned for its exceptional heat, aging, oil, ozone, and ultraviolet radiation resistance. Given such remarkable properties, it is extensively utilized in various applications, such as automotive transmissions, hoses, gaskets, adhesives, beltings, and O-rings.
The considerable demand for acrylic rubber in the booming automotive industry is the primary driving force behind the global acrylic rubber market. North America and Europe are set to dominate the market during the forecast period, fueled by the high demand from end-user industries such as automotive and packaging. The Asia Pacific region is expected to witness significant growth due to rapid urbanization and improved standards of living.
TEMPERATURE RANGE
Low Temp: -20°C (-5°F) Brittle: -25°C (-13°F)
High Temp: 150°C (300°F) Intermittent: 180°C (356°F)
MATERIAL RPOCESSING
The traditional methods for manufacturing these types of compounds include compression and injection molding, extrusion, calendaring, and coating processes. Certain specialties may necessitate the use of exclusive cross-linking agents, which exploit specific chemical properties.

APPLICATIONS
Acrylic rubber comprises of elastomers that are formulated to create items which can resist high temperatures (up to 190°C). However, processing the material is challenging as it typically displays high nerve. Usually, it is combined with FEF black or more reinforcing blacks (HAF) or mineral fillers.
The material finds its primary application in the production of O-rings and shaft seals. Its surface characteristics, oil and heat resistance make it especially well-suited for the latter. Precision-moulded items can also be made from acrylic rubber.
