DESCRIPTION
Rubber Antioxidant DTPD is a chemical substance that is used to prevent or slow down the process of oxidation in rubber. It is usually a dark brown, solid substance. It has a unique property of being soluble in oils and organic solvents like gasoline, benzene, and acetone, but it is insoluble in water. Despite changing to a black color when exposed to air, Rubber Antioxidant DTPD maintains its antioxidative properties. Due to its low melting point, it must be stored away from high temperatures to maintain its physical state and performance. It is used extensively in the rubber industry to prolong the life of rubber products.
