GECO Epichlorohydrin Rubber
DESCRIPTION
ECO Rubber, also known as Epichlorohydrin rubber, is a type of synthetic rubber that's highly resistant to fuels, oils, and other chemicals, making it an ideal material for automotive fuel handling systems. ECO rubber also displays good resistance to heat, ozone, and aging. It has excellent gas impermeability, and superior resistance to polar solvents such as water, acids, alkalies, phosphate esters, and many ketones and alcohols. However, ECO rubber is not recommended for applications involving exposure to strong oxidizing acids and chlorinated hydrocarbons. It is commonly used in applications including fuel injector seals, fuel hoses, diaphragms, and accumulator bladders.
